From Kirkus: One of those stand-up sit-corm routines we're used to viewing--chutzpah any way you spell it--about Ricki whose old boy friend in Berkeley has abandoned her for an ashram and now is sent by her friend Carol, a Jewish Chef, to Israel. Carol, in spite of all her Lazlo facials and Gucci luggage hasn't gotten married but she thinks Ricki should do so immediately. Even if she can't find anything to read except four-months'-old McCall's there do seem to be a number of dirty soldiers with greasy beards around. There's also Albert, originally from Iraq, who lives with his mother and sisters and is everything she ever wanted except for certain ""variables in living""--Ricki is to have children and cook dinner. Well, so it goes. . . on in a pert and cheerful fashion so why not smile and thumb a ride.
