What happens when the perfect love story is a ghost story?

Life can be a little crazy. Especially at Halloween. Especially when you inherit an old creaky mansion that has definitely seen better days.
But the house is perfect for the new start I need and with the small inheritance I can start fixing it up. But as soon as I start working on the house, weird things start happening. A small chandelier in the bedroom falls and barely misses me. A knife in the kitchen suddenly slingshots and lands in the wall by my head. Doors slam closed with nobody nearby and there's a chill in the air that means I'm wearing sweaters even in the sudden heatwave that's rolling through town.
But none of that surprises me as much as the sudden appearance of a man who makes me shiver. In the good and bad way. Because there's something strange about his sudden appearance just in time to help me when I trip down some stairs.
It's all weird but what's even scarier than the guy who shows up out of the blue is the fact that I swear I felt a hand between my shoulder blades right before I fell.

Only my friends call me Freddie and most of them are dead. It seems like forever since anyone showed up at this old house but as soon as I saw the flame-haired beauty, I lost my heart. What's left of it anyway.
But there are things in this house that want to hurt her. Things that should have stayed buried but have crept up from the dark and they're looking for another innocent victim.
I won't let her become one. I'll fight to keep her safe. But this threat is a tricky one and it's gonna take a lot more than just me to keep her safe.
