Summer is in full swing around Newfound Lake, which means some weeks are pretty boring in the Towne household. With Kenny’s two daughters sharing half of the summer with Heather, their mother, every other week is quiet and low-key for Rebecca and Kenny. The library is running without any issues, and the influx of summer visitors raise the workload for the emergency services personnel as predicted. When Rebecca gets a last-minute request to attend a funeral with Mary, a much-loved library volunteer, she is able to pivot in order to support her friend. The widow and sister of the deceased certainly don’t see eye to eye, and a potentially related death in the area causes everyone to question what’s going on.
