Unaware of the mystery surrounding the swamp, Emily Anderson is desperate for a change and decides to go camping with a friend. Unfortunately, neither woman realizes that November is the wrong time to enter the swamp. Something awaits them, a power beyond imagination that haunts the woods, seeking revenge. Emily's vacation becomes a fight for survival when she unwittingly enters the swamp and confronts the ancient force that walks there during the Month of Judgment. After long, summer days drowsing in the heat, an old mystery stirs as the nights lengthened and the air turns cold. Drifting through the shadows between the dark trees, it waits for those who are unwary enough to enter the swamp. A tragic series of events has left Emily aching with sorrow. It is difficult just to get up in the morning, let alone function, and she can't seem to forget or get past the loss of her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. So when a friend suggests a camping trip, Emily is initially uninterested. It all seems so pointless. Nothing will change, and she'll return to the same empty house and continue flinching at the same, fleeting shadows that remind her so much of the family she has lost. But her friend is relentless and convinces her with the prospect of relaxation and chance of a spiritual renewal. Unfortunately, neither woman realizes that they've selected the wrong time to go. An ancient evil awaits them, a power beyond imagination that turns the swamp into a killing ground and their vacation into something they never expected.
