An omnibus of novels by

Detective Laura Foster's career is ruined. A high-profile case has just collapsed, leaving a suspected killer on the streets, and now Laura's on the verge of quitting the police altogether. She's persuaded to take on one last assignment, investigating the deaths of several homeless people in London, but she's just going through the motions. The killer guts his victims with a hook, but he's smart and Laura knows deep down that she's not good enough to catch him.

And then she meets Ophelia.

Extremely intelligent but hopelessly out of control, Ophelia is Laura's guide to the world of London's homeless population. At first Laura finds Ophelia impossible to manage, but the pair soon start to develop a way of working together. Ophelia awakens something in Laura, showing her that she might be able to solve the case after all. As for Ophelia, she's hiding some dark secrets that she knows will have to come out eventually: her name isn't really Ophelia, and there's a very good reason why she's hiding in the darkest corners of the city.

This collection contains the original three novels in the
Ophelia series, which were also published as the Detective Laura Foster series. Also included is a brand new, exclusive short story titled Five Years Later, which reveals what happened to both Laura and Ophelia after the shocking conclusion of the third book.
