Some mistakes are worth making. Some plans are meant to be broken.

Avery Lane doesn't do schedules. A free-spirited travel photographer, she lives out of a van, chases golden hour light across continents, and has commitment issues with everything except her cameras.

Nathan Kingsley doesn't do spontaneity. An orthopedic surgeon with his life mapped out to the minute, he color-codes his calendar, meal-preps on Sundays, and has a five-year plan that definitely doesn't include surprises.

One champagne-fueled night at a Napa Valley wedding, they agree to the perfect arrangement: no strings, no complications, no tomorrow.

Two pink lines change everything.

Now Avery's carrying the baby of a man who alphabetizes his bookshelf, and Nathan's about to be a father with a woman who thinks "planning ahead" means checking tomorrow's weather. He's determined to do the right thing—after all, responsibility is literally his middle name. But Avery isn't looking for a white knight with a color-coded spreadsheet. She's spent her whole life proving she doesn't need anyone.

As they navigate pregnancy cravings (pickles and ice cream at 2 AM), terrifying birthing classes, and a chemistry that refuses to follow any timeline, Avery and Nathan must decide: Can love flourish without a plan? Or are some personalities just too opposite to attract?

Sometimes the best things in life are perfectly unplanned.
