Odds and Ends (Book 1)

Margot Gardner's husband has run off with a woman half his age. He just disappeared, leaving behind a note and an insult. Margot must fend for herself for the first time in her sixty-three years. With the help of an unusually intelligent cat, who either talks in her head or she's going crazy, Margot makes a new life in a new home.

Everything is going terribly, thanks to smart-mouth Odds, the cat. Then it gets worse when Margot stumbles onto the body of the building's superintendent. Margot is determined to find out if one of her neighbors is the murderer. It's a good thing she has Odds by her side, to get her into and out of trouble.

Odds Against (Book 2)

Margot is trying to make ends meet with odd jobs after her husband ran off and took his fortune with him. Now she's stuck with a crazy talking cat dubbed Odds, who is out to make her life more difficult for his own entertainment.

When Margot takes a job walking three little dogs, Odds the cat is sharply against it. Despite that everything goes well. That is until Odds leads Margot and her canine friends on a merry chase that has Margot falling over a dead body.

The murder seems like robbery gone wrong, but is it more? The police and Margot may never know because the animals keep destroying evidence.

Odds Ball (Book 3)

Margot takes a job working as a server at a fancy ball held for rich and important people. At the same time, she'll work undercover, according to her best friend Nancy. Margot will at last learn Zabrina's secret that she's been hiding all this time.

The night gets interesting when Margot sneaks off to have a quick rest only to witness Zabrina murder an older man. Margot's favorite detective arrives on the scene, a storm blows in, trapping them all in the hotel where the ball is being held, and Odds, Margot's naughty talking cat, is threatened.

If Margot and Odds can make it to morning, everything will be all right. Margot just has to have faith in Odds, and accept a little bit of help from a gentleman murderer.

Double the Odds (Book 4)

Margot has won a trip for two on a cruise ship, and she takes her best friend Nancy along. Of course, Margot couldn't go anywhere without sneaking Odds on board the ship. Odds wouldn't be himself if he wasn't giving poor Margot a hard time.

Someone has murdered the captain of the ship, and Margot and her friends are stuck out on the ocean with the killer. Nothing to do except to solve the mystery. The stakes are higher this time around because Margot will foil a kidnapping, make a hard choice that will change her life, and learn once and for all if she's really hearing Odds' voice.

Speaking of Odds (Book 5)

Nancy didn't handle Margot's news very well, so she's absconded with poor innocent Odds and headed to a small tourist town on the coast. What's a good kitty to do except have a little fun driving Nancy crazy.

Unfortunately, Nancy can't hear Odds speak like Margot can, so Odds gets bored. Besides that she isn't the brightest bulb. Nancy's gone and made a murderer her new best friend, and it's up to Odds to reunite everyone.

When Margot gets to town, she's ready to plot with her smart-mouthed cat to bring Nancy to her senses and collar a criminal at the same time.
