Darak has been consumed by fury since he lost his lover of six-hundred years over two thousand years ago. His sole purpose in life was to enact revenge on their enemy, the Vrits. So, he had no time for the younger Savior who’d was obviously infatuated with him.

There was something about Darak that pulled Cetan toward him. He wasn’t dissuaded by the long scar bisecting the older dragon’s face or the glares the Savior perpetually wore. Both only made the Savior sexier as far as Cetan was concerned and Cetan was determined to make Darak display another expression on his face.

Events unfolded as their enemy unleased a new tactic in their war and they still searched to uncover the traitor in their midst. Darak, as much as Cetan annoyed him, didn’t like the changes in the younger Savior’s behavior as a result. He unexpectedly found himself trying to help the younger dragon. During their new proximity to each other, Darak realized he was beginning care about something, someone, other than his vengeance.
