He thinks he'll have plenty of time later on to pursue his interest in her. But time is the one thing she doesn't have.

John Davis has a problem. He's tracked two killers from Boston to the Barbary Coast of the young, gold-rush town of San Francisco, but now he can't find them. He doesn't have time at the moment to get tangled-up with a woman full of secrets, like Bethany Mason. No matter how attracted he is to her.

Beth has her own problems. Her father died, and her very controlling half-brother, Lewis, is acting oddly. So oddly she's forced to abandon her growing feelings for John and run for her life when Lewis decides he no longer needs a sister. At least not one who's alive.

Too late to stop her, John gives chase. But in between them is a killer, and he has Bethany in his sight down the barrel of a rifle. Bethany is brave and smart, but out of her element on the unmarked trail to the mountains, and no match for a murderous bounty hunter. John finds himself in the heart-stopping race of his life to save the woman he loves from the deadly fate waiting for her just over the next hill.

Believing in Love is part of a series that includes recurring characters, but can be read as a stand-alone book. It contains romance and suspense, as well as some spice and heat.
