Now that their gold rush is over, the sleepy town of Mustang, Colorado has seen better days.
Life is back to normal, as dull as can be for young Henry Reed, whose Ribeye Restaurant (‘burn ‘em on both sides and serve ‘em up with mashed potatoes and lumpy gravy’) has been offering the same bill of fare--steaks and chops-- since his late parents owned the joint.
About the only thrills Henry Reed gets these days are his monthly visits to the local cathouse and tossing out the occasional drunken customer on his tail.

Ezzy, a mysterious young lady from the East, pops up one day in Mustang, seeking work. Henry hires her to wash dishes—but when Reed’s longtime fry cook drops dead, Ezzy takes his place.
She throws the steaks and chops off the menu and introduces Mustang to a dish nobody’s ever heard of, much less seen or tasted.
She calls it ‘pizza.''
It’s an instant sensation. The residents of Mustang town swamp the place, eager to dig into this delicious new concoction. Ezzy can’t make them fast enough to satisfy the demand—and the ingredients like olive oil and mozzarella cheese are hard to come by. In the midst of the madness, Ezzy and Henry fall for each other.
But fate is about to cloud up and rain all over them both. And Henry Reed will find the kind of violence and bloodshed trouble that only success can bring.
There are some very, very bad people from back east who want Ezzy dead. And they’ve tracked her down to Mustang.
Now Henry Reed must save the woman he loves who's also making him very wealthy to boot. The streets of Mustang will be running red—and not with marinara sauce—in a firestorm of violence that might have them both resting in pizza.
