No Map Line

(2026)
(The first book in the MACV-SOG series)
A novel by

Five men go into the mountains to watch one road. They find two.

Nolan Brice and his MACV-SOG reconnaissance team have a simple mission: infiltrate an enemy-controlled valley, observe a supply route, photograph what moves along it, and disappear without leaving a trace.

But the road on their map doesn't make sense.

By daylight, it carries little enough traffic to confirm everything American intelligence already believes. At night, the valley shakes with the sound of trucks moving somewhere they cannot see.

Then the team finds the second road.

Hidden beneath jungle canopy, engineered to disappear from aerial observation, and carrying the real weight of an army, the route could change everything intelligence knows about the enemy's logistics.

But proving it is only half the mission.

The moment Brice's team transmits what they've found, the enemy begins hunting them. Radio-direction equipment starts narrowing their position. Search teams move onto the ridges. Dogs pick up their trail. Relentless rain turns streams into rivers and escape routes into traps. One man is badly injured. Their radio battery is dying.

And the extraction site they were told would be waiting for them hasn't been usable for weeks.

The road isn't on the map. Neither is the way home.
