When reports of the brutal massacre of Missouri homesteaders reached Secretary of State for War Stanton, he realized decisive action must be taken. Morgan Baxter and Bostonian Lieutenant Carson Sheridan are ordered to hunt down the brutal Jeb Garson and his gang. Initially it looked as if the young Yankee would be a hindrance but that changed when he saved Morgan's life. Now the partners could follow the blood-soaked trail, each confident of the other's ability.
