A sweeping dual-timeline historical romantic suspense spanning ancient Stonehenge and modern-day Oxford, blending forgotten womens' history, family legacy, romance and an ancient mystery.
For thousands of years, Stonehenge has guarded its greatest secret: the women history forgot.
Salisbury Plain, 1000 BC. For generations, women have led the civilization responsible for building Stonehenge. But rebellion is stirring, and leader Maya believes the only way to protect their future is to sacrifice her daughter Marah to a marriage she does not want.
Three thousand years later, historian Miriam Buckley arrives at Oxford with one final chance to prove her controversial theory that women once ruled at Stonehenge. Then she meets charming professor Spencer Aldworth, who steals her heart—and gives her access to a private library filled with documents few have ever seen.
As ancient symbols, a mysterious amulet and vivid dreams begin to connect with her research, Miriam must decide whether Spencer is a distraction from the work that could save her career, or the key to finally proving what happened to the women of Stonehenge.
If Miriam succeeds, she could rewrite the history of one of the world’s greatest mysteries.
Perfect for readers who love dual-timeline historical fiction, ancient mysteries and romance woven through forgotten womens' history, From Below the Horizon follows two women separated by three thousand years as one fights to protect her world and the other fights to prove it ever existed.
