A brand new Mountain Man adventure from Jeff Crawford!

Tall and majestic, hard and unyielding, these are the mountains where a few of a special breed of men feel most at home. Doc Hatcher is one of these men. To see what lay across the river or over the next hilltop, that’s all Doc ever wanted or cared about. The peacefulness and the serenity that the mountains had to offer was the wealth that Doc strove to amass, but when he found the young man stripped, beaten, and left alone, crying over his situation, he knew that the serenity had been disturbed and needed to be put back to right.

Six men with a taste for evil were upsetting the balance in the mountains. Things that should be left alone were being disturbed. People who should have been allowed the freedoms that the mountains offered were becoming victims, and now two of them had gone missing. Following the trail of disregard that the six men were leaving, Doc Hatcher and his friend Peter Willow would attempt to do what seemed impossible. They would find these two and return them to safety and security once more, and at the same time rid the mountains of the blight that was these six men.

Always pressing, always moving forward with relentless determination, Doc Hatcher and Peter Willow ran where the six and their horses could not go in a race against time and an inevitable outcome. They could not tarry, they could not falter, they could not fail; too much hung in the balance. Using their experience and driven by their sense of honor and good, these two would make things again as they should be. There were no other options.

Meet Doc Hatcher on A Trail of Sorrow for the first time, but do not get in his way. He doesn’t have the time to spare.
