Lost Boys and Pirate Kings
(2025)(The first book in the Midlife In Neverland series)
A novel by Lacey Carter
A woman reeling from the loss of everything she’s ever known. A trip to Neverland. And a new life amongst the Lost Boys.
All Maggie ever wanted was a happy life of baking, with her cat by her side, but that was never to be. One challenge after another left her in a state of hopelessness and homelessness, until a handsome man tastes her cooking, and everything changes.
Kidnapped by Peter Pan, Maggie is swept away from her miserable life and brought to a place full of magic and mystery. Neverland. But what could these strange people want with her?
The inhabitants of Neverland have never learned to cook because the mystical Everything Plant always gave them what they wanted. Until the plant stopped making berries. As a result, Peter Pan wants her as the chef to all of Neverland, his only plan to ensure his people don’t starve. But Maggie can’t simply accept being kidnapped by the charming Peter, can she? She’d have to be crazy to agree to this plan!
Maggie thinks she wants to go home. So, they strike a deal. Maggie will help Peter find the cause of the Everything Plant no longer producing berries, and he’ll return her to her home once that’s done.
But as Maggie gets to know the inhabitants of the small island, bonds with the fairies and the Lost Boys, and spends time with Peter, will she be just as eager to go home? Or will she find a new kind of home with a new kind of family?
Genre: Paranormal Romance
