Kate has a big problem. Her boyfriend Jonathan ran away from home last summer and disappeared without a trace.
First it was the clocks. He complained about the bells at school and the loud ticking of clocks everywhere. Then he started to tell everybody about things that hadn't happened yet but were about to happen. Kids began to shun him.
Strangely enough the same thing starts to happen to Kate. She gets weird premonitions of things that are about to happen that haven't happened yet. She starts to warn folks. Kids think she is a witch.
What is Kate to do? She can't get the tick, tick, tick . . . sound out of her head in this young adult thriller.
