Proud Surgeon

(1965)
A novel by

Tension in the Theatre at St. Antony's Hospital had built up alarmingly during the last few days; Calder Savage, the new Senior Surgical Officer, had really lived up to his name, venting a savage irony on anyone who fell foul of him. But when he gave Staff Nurse Honor Portland a lift home, she was surprised to find what an interesting man he was. Although Calder is generally suspicious of women, he and Honor are drawn together by work and friendship. But can there be more?
