She's on the run. He's a mercenary-turned-nobleman.
One song could destroy her life... Neeve has been in hiding for years. Hunted by a man who sees her voice as something to be collected, she does all she can to stay unnoticed and in the shadows. When her safety is threatened, she is sent to assist a new nobleman in assimilating to his unwanted role.
No good deed goes unpunished. Reluctant mercenary-turned-nobleman Acin knows how to wield a sword, not determine which spoon should be used for soups. Surrounded by a crumbling estate and more rules and snobbery than he knows how to handle, Acin feels like he's drowning until the man who got him into this mess throws him a lifeline in the form of an uptight but pretty assistant who doesn't believe in smiling and thinks Acin's life will be destroyed if he doesn't know how to waltz or tie a cravat.
The hills and estate don't offer Neeve sanctuary for long. As danger closes in, she must determine if Acin can be trusted with her secret. But if he can be, more than Neeve's life is in danger. Her heart is, too.
FULL BLURB TO COME
