Patch Note Panic
(2026)(The second book in the Wishlist Wizard Trilogy series)
A novel by Marshal Carper
Wayne’s system access was glitched from the start of his Isekai adventure, but a chance encounter with a Christmas catalog from 1990 revealed that he could learn spells and skills from old video games, and the system reshaped them to fit this world… sort of.
Summoning football robots and shooting cannonballs from his shoulders wasn’t what Wayne would consider ‘on theme’ for a fantasy world, but no matter how weird the upgrade, how unusual the skill, he wouldn’t let it go to waste.
On a quest to find more unlocks, the next leg of Wayne's adventure takes him to the Earth Temple deep within the Forest of 10,000 Cuts, but he isn't the only one trying to level up. The ratmen are accessing the system to gain power as part of an ambitious but unknown plot, and Wayne's party might be the only people who can stop them.
Book 2 of Wishlist Wizard features more of the strange world inspired by game tropes and obscure gaming history you loved from the first book, but drives deeper and farther than ever before. From a drinking game called Stump to perilous battles with wereratgoldfish, Book 2 has laughter, friendship, mystery, and adventure on every page.
Genre: GameLit
