ICE has come to Brunswick, Maine.
Tate Dillard is the commander of an elite ICE branch, the Brown Baggers, who are in Maine under Operation Catch of the Day, rounding up immigrants, legal and illegal, with a broad interpretation of the law and their scope. He has come a long way since being called Tater Tot in high school, flunking the army entrance exam, and failing the psych exam to become a police officer.

When Richam’s daughter is targeted, along with her fiancé, accused of murdering a woman with her own prosthetic leg, Langdon must scramble to clear the young man of the charges leveled against him before he ends up lost in an ICE detention center, or worse, deported back to Haiti, where his life is in imminent danger from the gangs running that country.
A host of powerful Washington D.C. figures descend upon Brunswick as it becomes the posterboard for much larger purposes than the arrest of illegal immigrants, but the proving ground for a hugely expanded budget for ICE and a further removal of constraints upon their power to act with no oversight.

Langdon and his friends must race to save their loved ones, the state, and the nation.
