A novel by

What do you get when someone underestimates your self-worth?

A situation that you’re determined to control until the bitter end.

Maggie
Maggie McIntire knew that people talked about her, but she didn’t care. Having been raised by a family that was famous for being rich, powerful, influential, and brutally ruthless, it was expected. Haters came with the territory, though no one was stupid enough to say anything to her face. Along with being beautiful, rich, powerful, and ruthless, Maggie was also a bit violent.

When she finds someone asking for her help, it’s a no-brainer. Though Maggie’s moral compass might not always point north, she had her own code of ethics, and she wasn’t afraid to fight the good fight. However, when the truth of the situation finally comes to light, things take a dramatic turn, and Maggie’s more than happy to show people what happens when they mess with her.

She’s eager to show
him what happens when people cross her.

Logan
Logan Masters knew people could be fake, but he didn’t mind. Having been raised with money, plus being on his way to the MLB, it was expected that some people might try to get into his good graces or even use him for his money and/or fame. Still, Logan had a good head on his shoulders, so he could see fake people coming at him from a mile away, and he was a pro at avoiding them.

When he finds out that someone is trying to drag his name through the mud, he refuses to take the accusation lying down. With a bright future in baseball, there’s no way that he’s going to let someone ruin it for him, never mind that such an accusation could damage his family’s reputation beyond repair. Determined to clear his name, there’s nothing that he won’t do for justice.

There’s nothing that he won’t do to prove the truth to
her.

When the truth leads you on a different path, changing everything…
Not one to waste her time, when the smoke finally clears, Maggie is prepared to go about her merry way, though Logan Masters has other plans. Impressed with how he stands up to her brothers, Maggie has no choice but to give Logan a chance, though she still has some doubts.

Not one to waste his time, when Logan finally clears his name, the next thing on his to-do list is to get Maggie McIntire to go out with him, even if it means having to face down each of her brothers. Though Maggie might still have some doubts about him, Logan has absolutely none about her.

As Maggie and Logan venture into their new relationship, jealousy quickly rears its ugly head. With one stupid mistake, their fragile bond of trust is broken, and since Maggie knows her own worth, it’s nothing for her to take a step back from the situation, Logan doing everything that he can to right the wrong.
