What happens when you’re on opposites sides of morality?

The misunderstanding of a lifetime.

Daniel
As one of the sons to Leonardo Benetti, Daniel Benetti had it made. Like all the heirs in The Benetti Crime Family, life had been eventful, but fairly easy. Plus, since no one in their right mind messed with his family, that had allowed him to attend medical school, rather than becoming another killing machine, despite the fact that he’s killed his fair share, and still would if warranted.

With his medical practice on the cusp of opening to the public, you’d think that he’d be too busy to juggle appointments with taking down Morgan City’s corrupt. However, because nothing was more important to him than his family, there was always time to protect the people he loved. Plus, let’s not forget the woman who had made the mistake of forgetting that he was a Benetti.

Cora
As the only woman currently juggling her job and the headache of hospital politics, Cora Russo knew all about what it took to keep your eyes on the prize. As a nurse for one of the busiest hospitals in Morgan City, Cora knew that it wasn’t always about the patients, even though it should be. Still, she loved her job and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Plus, she was good at it.

With her dedication noticeable by everyone, including the hospital’s board, Cora is invited to attend a gala that’s honoring Morgan City’s finest first responders and community workers. Honored, if not exactly thrilled, she graciously accepts the invitation, and even has a date. However, when one of Morgan City’s Mafia princes objects to her choice of date, she’s forced to take off the blinders.

When both sides have their reasons…
Though his family was in the middle of an epic cluster%^@!, when Daniel finds out that he’s on the wrong end of what he’d believed was obvious, he tackles the delusional spitfire in his bed, opening up his clinic, and taking down a corrupt prosecutor, all with the confidence of the Benetti that he is.

Though she’s always been rooted in common sense and had a job that forced her to take life seriously, when Cora finds out that her quest for a little fun is the most serious thing she’s ever done, she quickly realizes that she should’ve stuck with her gift of common sense.

When the lines between safety and recklessness begin to blur, Daniel and Cora find themselves in a delicate situation that can only end one way, and spoiler alert: Benettis never lose.
