Neve

Neve Lively wasn’t your typical teenage high school senior, and she hated that. With raven-black hair and blue eyes that she did her best to keep blue, Neve was a stunner. Still, no matter how beautiful she was or how normal she wanted to be, Neve was anything but normal. Neve was special and she would totally feel like a freak if it weren’t for the fact that her twin sister was just as special as she was. Or was it that they were both just weird with ‘special’ being the word that her parents had chosen to use?

With the ability to read other people’s minds, Neve knew that she wasn’t like everyone else. People just didn’t go around reading other people’s minds. It just wasn’t the thing. However, there was nothing to be done about it. Neve was different, and there was no denying it.

However, as her eighteenth birthday begins to near, she begins to feel the uncomfortable hum of something big coming her way. This wasn’t the usual uncomfortableness that’s she’s become accustomed to. No. This was something different. Still, her birth mother had left her a journal and personal letter that was to be opened on her eighteenth birthday, and Neve was positive that those two items held the answers to all the questions she’s ever had about herself and her sister, Avalon.

Easton

Easton Keenstone wasn’t your typical teenage high school senior. In fact, he wasn’t even supposed to be in high school anymore. He was only repeating his senior year of school for one reason: Neve Lively.

Raised in Rýkr, Easton wasn’t like the rest of the people in the world. The entire town of Rýkr and its people weren’t like the rest of the world’s population. Born with special abilities, the town’s population kept to themselves and followed the monarchy that rule the picturesque Northern California town. And with Easton being the crown prince of Rýkr’s monarchy, he was gifted with more than one special talent like the rest of his family. However, there was one thing that exceeded the magnificence of the gifts possessed by the townspeople of Rýkr, and that was their mating bonds.

The very definition of soulmates, when you are bonded with another person from Rýkr, that bond is unbreakable. The second that you are bonded, your relationship supersedes everything and everyone else. The bond becomes a mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual connection that cannot be severed.

Or can it?

A tragic beginning that ends up turning into a disruptive experiment sends Easton on a mission to get even with those who had chosen to interfere with his life. Determined to come out the winner, he does the opposite of what’s expected of him, though his anger hadn’t prepared him for Neve Lively.

Blindsided by such an unexpected turn of events, Neve doesn’t give in easily. She has lots of questions and she’s determined to get answers. It doesn’t matter that a certain brown-hair, blue-eyed jerk is the most gorgeous guy she’s ever seen. It. Doesn’t. Matter (so she tells herself).

While Neve is fighting against her newfound reality, Easton’s doing everything he can to make Neve his for good, and he’s not taking any prisoners.
