What do you get when someone decides to judge you unfairly?

A burning need to silence those unfounded judgements and assumptions.

Gideon
Gideon McCellan hasn’t ever been afraid to do his own thing. Growing up in a very wealthy, powerful, and influential family, he’d been afforded the luxury of making all his life decisions on his own. Sure, his family had helped guide him along the way, but his life was still his own. All you had to do was look at the ink decorating his skin from head to toe in order to notice that.

Nevertheless, life ends up taking an unexpected turn when Gideon finds himself on the receiving end of a tongue lashing that he really doesn’t deserve. Used to being judged for his last name and/or his appearance, most people don’t have the nerve to step to him, so he finds himself a little more than intrigued with this latest turn of events.

He finds himself intrigued by
her.

Piper
Piper Marshall hasn’t ever been afraid of doing her own thing. Though her childhood had been a good one with no complaints, she had still turned out to be a tough cookie. So, when life had decided to throw her a couple of curveballs, she had kept playing the game of life, no matter how much the odds had been stacked against her. Piper was a lot of things, but a coward wasn’t one of them.

Still, everything changes when some spoiled, rich, entitled, Blaineview jerks make it a point to let her know just where she ranks on the ladder, and it’s not at the top. Refusing to let one little incident distract her from her life’s path, Piper goes about her business, doing what she’s always done; she keeps looking straight, holding her head high, refusing to let life beat her down.

She refuses to let
him think that he’s won.

When you realize that there’s so much more swimming below the surface…
It doesn’t take Gideon long before he realizes that there’s more to Piper Marshall than meets the eye, and the more that he learns, the more that he wants to make her his. Yeah, she has no interest in him whatsoever, but luckily, Gideon’s never been one to shy away from a challenge.

It doesn’t take Piper long before she realizes that there’s more to Gideon McCellan than his looks and reputation, and the more that she learns, the more that she’s determined to stay away from him. Still, when he refuses to budge, she quickly realizes what it means to be a McCellan.

When Gideon and Piper finally find a middle ground, the impossible no longer seems like a pipe dream. However, they quickly find themselves back at square one when chance and circumstances cause Piper to reevaluate her priorities, Gideon determined to remain one of them.
