The Kennel Club Murders
(2027)(The fourth book in the Merry Widow Murders series)
A novel by Melodie Campbell
It’s November of 1929 and the world is reeling from the New York stock market crash. Lucy Revelstoke is once again heading home to England on the Victoriana ocean liner, after a week of stressful business assessing the future of her shipping line. Her pickpocket-turned-maid, Elf, is delighted to learn the ship is also ferrying several dogs, winners of the Westminster Kennel Club show, on their way to compete at a prestigious international show in France. The duo make fast friends with Irma la Pooch, the poodle who won Best in Show, and her owners, Murial and William de Groot.
But then William ― a banker eager to escape the carnage on Wall Street ― is murdered. Among the well-groomed dogs and high-society owners, Lucy and Elf uncover the surprisingly intense rivalries of the kennel club … but are those enough to kill for?
Genre: Cozy Mystery
