Dragons Can Be Dangerous

(1983)
(A book in the Mark Preston series)
A novel by

Wealthy Gene Armstrong called in Mark Preston to recover antique Chinese pottery. He was promised five thousand dollars by Armstrong and half promised other things by Armstrong's new wife, silky dragon lady Roxanne. Nobody mentioned murder and general skulduggery, nor the Las Vegas connection. Nobody warned him about polished Lieutenant Murdoch of the Fine Arts Squad. Then there was Rourke of Homicide. You can fool some of the policemen some of the time, but Rourke never.
