Lincoln Hawk Series: Books 10-12
(2025)(A book in the Lincoln Hawk series)
An omnibus of novels by Scott Connor
The Honor of the Badge U.S. Marshals Lincoln Hawk and Stewart Montague were pursuing Colm Tobin’s train-raiding gang of bandits when Stewart goes missing, presumed dead. For six months Lincoln continues the mission alone without success while Colm escalates his reign of terror, culminating in his most audacious crime yet of spiriting away a whole train.
Facing increasing pressure to bring the bandits to justice, Lincoln foils what looks like another raid with deadly gunfire, but although one of the suspects was the last man to see Stewart alive, the dead men were innocent. His mistake threatening to end his career, and with everyone turning against him, how will Lincoln restore the honor of the badge?
The Way of the Gun When hired gun Isaac Nash killed Sheriff MacLean he didn’t stay a free man for long. U.S. Marshal Lincoln Hawk arrested him and took him back to Rocky Bar to face justice.
Lincoln hopes that a trial will take down the man who hired him, Jasper Edmonton, who has set himself up as the main power broker in town. Not surprisingly, Jasper tries to free Isaac, but in the gun battle that follows Jasper is killed.
With his problems seemingly resolved Lincoln faces a far more dangerous situation as the men who want to take over from Jasper fight to regain his former position. If that isn’t bad enough, it also seems that MacLean isn’t dead after all and he has plans of his own.
The Renegade Marshal When U.S. Marshal Lincoln Hawk investigates a string of attacks on the Willow Falls stockyard, he doesn’t take long to track down the culprits. A gunfight ensues and four men bite the dirt, but with his dying breath the last of the hired guns claims that he works for one of the stockyard owners.
Although there is no evidence to link him to the claim, Lincoln presumes that it’s Blythe Newman, a man with a checkered past. Before this becomes a problem, Blythe is arrested on a separate charge of murder, but the victim’s father isn’t convinced that the right man is now behind bars.
Even though finding the real killer will result in an evil man being freed, Lincoln sets out to uncover the truth and what he’ll find will test his faith in the law to breaking point.
