I Bought a Secondhand Spaceship. And Now?
(2026)(The first book in the Secondhand Spaceship series)
A novel by Stu Connors
My brother bought a used spaceship.
Guess who paid for half of it.When Johnny convinces his older brother Tom to invest their life savings in a secondhand starship, he promises adventure, profit, and the chance to finally see the galaxy.
The seller swears it's in top condition.
As it turns out, the seller has a flexible relationship with the truth.
The ship has questionable wiring, unreliable engines, and a navigation system that treats coordinates as friendly suggestions.
Worst of all, it comes with a complimentary onboard robot named COSMOwho hates humans, hates space, and especially hates Tom and Johnny.
There are no refunds.
There is no warranty.
There is, unfortunately, a hyperdrive.
Now the two brothers and their aggressively unhelpful robot are hurtling across the galaxy, outrunning space gangsters, accidentally starting minor interplanetary incidents, and discovering that "certified pre-owned" means something very different in deep space.
Adventure awaits.
Whether they survive it is another matter entirely.
For fans of Futurama and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Genre: Science Fiction
