Susan Conley recommends
Bad Animals (2024)
Sarah Braunstein
"With a high-wire plot that's beautifully built and slyly rendered, Bad Animals interrogates the insanely high costs of self-deception and offers us a supremely wise and damn funny story of bravery in the face of abject longing."
Pete and Alice in Maine (2023)
Caitlin Shetterly
"Caitlin Shetterly's fantastic new novel contains such resonant, crucial clues about what a woman gives up for her marriage and how she gets lost. It's also a novel about what forgiveness can look like and a certain kind of finding of oneself."
The Road to Dalton (2023)
Shannon Bowring
"What a rare gift Bowring has for sly humor and nuance as she paints these unforgettable characters in their rawest pain and sweetest joy. A genius, stealthy love story and a beautiful ode to family and friendship."
