From Ashes Rise

In the year 2012 a series of terrorist attacks struck at America's heartland, targeting schools, malls and churches. California rioted, Texas burned, and Michigan seceded. Caught in the middle is a man bearing no name who is forced to travel on foot through the changing state. His journey is a desperate attempt to make his way from the Upper Peninsula to his family in Grand Rapids. He encounters friendship and death, war and brotherhood as he journeys on foot through the wilds of the new territory, but will love and a desperate need for redemption be enough to see him home?
