Konfidenz

A marathon nine hours talking on the phone, is just one of the conversations between a woman fleeing Nazi Germany and a mysterious stranger on the other end of the line. He claims to be a friend of the man she has come to Paris to look for, and he seems to know everything about her. The police arrive and take her for questioning. By the same author as Death and the Maiden, with the same density of tension and unuttered threat.
