My life has been anything other than sunshine and fun since waking up after the death of the world.
I’m only eighteen even though I’m really a hundred and sixty-five, yet I had so much hope for how things would go. Find our parents. Reunite everyone. Get accepted back into one of the clans.
And yet the reality is far different.
At every turn, people turn against me, driving me out every step of the way. They look to me for solutions to their problems yet won’t accept me as one of them. Not really.
Except the worldwide reboot has put us in a place in danger of being utterly destroyed, giving us two options; fight or flee. If we fight, we die. If we flee, we very well might die anyway. Only not as quickly. Possibly not as cleanly.
What do we do when what has become our entire world is threatened by overwhelming death and destruction? Is it even possible to do anything and come out the other side in a position worth being in?
Someone has to make the hard decisions and roll the dice to save as many people as possible.
My name is Kris, and I’m an outsider even among my own people, yet it’s on me to save us. While saving us, it might even be possible to turn misfortune into fortune, and maybe, just maybe, find someone to share my life with.
Surely that’s not too much to ask?
Genre: Science Fiction
