The Game Series #18 MMM DD/Middle S/M Found Family
We kick off with Shay storming out of the house after learning that two twin Sadists have lied about the true date of their birthday. Well, actually, the prologue comes first, and River can’t quite get past the memories of that night…
That evening last fall, when the fire broke out at Mclean House, all my fears that’d previously been reserved for my brother doubled in size. The horror of watching Shay relive his past within the flames—I can still feel it. See it. Hear it. Several months later, I’m not sure I can shake the nightmares that haunt me from time to time.
Reese has his eye on me. I catch the glances—but I’m watching him too. Like when he sneaks off to meet our deadbeat father who''s only using him for money. Yeah. I think it’s time I intervened.
We both need a lesson in what family actually is. Because for the last twenty years, my brother and I were gray men with zero attachments to anyone but each other. No personal details, no clues that could connect the worlds we’ve jumped between. But in order to protect what we’re building now, Shay deserves to know. It’s time we introduce our past to our future.
Here goes everything.
