Bounty Hunter turned Family Man
Nick McCord is a famous bounty hunter, content to live a solitary life. For ten years he’s tracked down some of the most dangerous outlaws in Texas. Overnight, his life changes. His elderly aunt passes, leaving him a generous inheritance, as well as something he never imagined.

Aunt Penny’s will has one requirement - Nick must adopt and raise her nine-year old granddaughter, Annie.

Nick is incredulous at first, but knows Annie’s needs are greater than his. He vows to do the right thing. He quits his work, adopts Annie, and finds a place to call home, something he hadn’t had since he was a small boy.

Nick’s life turns from rugged, fiercely independent bounty hunter to respectable rancher and most surprising of all… family man.

Very few folks in Bethany Springs think that Nick has any business being a father. They don’t believe a tough bounty hunter can properly raise a child. Not on his own.

When Nick discovers that a secret matchmaker has sent for a mail-order bride, he’s stunned. He has no idea who would do such a thing. He vows to find the culprit and deal with her, or him.

Next, he’ll send the mail-order bride right back.

But when Nick sees his bride to be, standing alone on the windswept shore, everything changes once more. He knows for certain his own plans don’t account for much, and that God’s providence has found him and blessed him, beyond any gift he could have imagined.
