Being sheltered by her older sister and father her entire life caused Kamron to both love and resent them. All she wants to do is prove that she can pull her own weight, and when tragedy strikes her family, she’ll finally get that chance. At the age of twenty-two, Kam is wild in the streets which caught the attention of neighborhood hustler, Royce Creed. Roy is the oldest of four and dedicates his life to taking care of his grandmother and three younger sisters. Being abandoned by his mother at a young age caused his trust for women to be slim. But Kam seems to fit in his life like the missing piece to the puzzle.
Twenty-five-year old Adori Davis takes on the responsibility of being a provider for her household after her mother, Journi, decided she no longer wanted the responsibility of being a mother and wife. Raised with her younger sister, Kamron, Adori plays a motherly role while assisting their father, Camron, in whatever way needed. Working as a grocery store manager, she meets Thailand Summers, a jackboy who’s been taking care of himself since he was a young boy. Growing up alone with no one to show him real love, Thai develops a cold heart, only loving and showing emotion to his best friend, Royce. That is, until he meets Adori. Things fall hard on Adori after her father falls ill for a second time, and money becomes a problem. After long talks and deep consideration, the couple, Kam, and Royce go to extreme measures, taking risks for love and money.
