Every day, Daman wakes up from the same nightmare: a strange, mysterious girl driving him to his death. And just as the car crashes, he wakes up and she disappears, leaving behind only the memory of her long, black hair and a name—Shreyasi. In order to deal with his nightmares, Daman starts writing stories featuring Shreyasi. Then one day, Shreyasi decides to step out into the real world.

Daman should be rejoicing—his first book is finally out! Instead, he's sitting in his editor's office, fuming about the bad reviews he knew he was going to get, after what his editor did to Shreyasi—his Shreyasi—in the book. Does it mean the end of Daman's career before it has hardly begun? Not if his biggest fan has anything to say about it.
