Threat Display

(2026)
(The second book in the Bad Little Falls series)
A Story by

The scariest man in town met the calmest. The town is placing bets.

Wyatt Cole is a honey badger deputy with a clipboard, a badge, and an inability to let anything in Bad Little Falls go unchecked. Gabe Silva is a capybara who runs the town's only daycare, where every child gravitates to him and every parent trusts him and the deputy keeps showing up to inspect things that don't need inspecting.

Wyatt wasn't supposed to fall for anyone. Gabe wasn't supposed to let anyone close.

Then a raccoon got into the daycare, they both shifted at the same time, and the omegaverse bond hit in front of twelve toddlers and a three-year-old beaver who touched the honey badger's nose.

Now there's a fated mate bond neither of them expected, a heat that's building by the hour, a town that knew before they did, and a polar bear sheriff who drove Wyatt's clothes to Gabe's house in the patrol truck because "resource reallocation."

The honey badger doesn't do soft. But the capybara makes him want to try.

(The crayons are all accounted for. The fence is fixed. The paper towels have been reorganized twice.)

Threat Display is a cozy, high-heat M/M omegaverse shifter romance with fated mates, knotting, small-town meddling, crayon-based courtship, and a guaranteed HEA. Second in the Bad Little Falls series. Includes a bonus short story.
