The Earthchild Chronicles - Volume 2
(2025)(The second book in the Earthchild Chronicles series)
A novel by J B Drake
"Everything I do, I do for the Tower"
Amala's plan worked to perfection! Naeve Earthchild, the rebellious child with her head in the clouds, was at last one for whom the word responsibility was not a swear word. And, more than that, her bond with the young Matrirch-in-Waiting was stronger than ever. A glorious outcome all round.
But Amala was no fool - such a change could easily be undone. She'd won a great battle, yes, but the war was far from over. For her to mould Naeve into the great Matriarch she's meant to be, she dared not stop the lessons, not yet.
Except there are some who were less than pleased with Amala's triumph, for the elven woman was an outsider, and was never truly one of them. For one such as she to have the status and prestige she now enjoyed... It was a slight on the very Tower itself, and an insult they simply could not accept. No, something had to be done.
That something was obvious - Amala had to go, no matter the cost, whatever the consequence. And should anyone get in their way, well...they'd have to go, too, no matter how young they may be.
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
