DI Laura Warburton. The foul-mouthed, wine-guzzling, cigarette-smoking redhead with a cat named Bagpipe is back in this white-knuckle thrill ride of a case.
A sadistic serial killer known as The Midnight Butcher is stalking the streets of Wigtown, leaving a trail of mutilated women in his wake.
And DI Laura Warburton is determined to catch him before he strikes again.
But when the investigation takes a terrifying turn, Laura finds herself face-to-face with something straight from her worst nightmares.
And she's about to discover that some predators are far more dangerous than they seem.
Because this time, the hunter is about to become the hunted.
