Former lawman Black Pete Bowen shares the stage with judge's daughter, Isobel Sparrow, when it is attacked by Indians. They seek refuge in the nearby town of Silverillo and soon discover the only law there is mine-owner Jack Kincaid who wants to commandeer the whole of Lost Mule Mountain at the expense of small-time miners. An inevitable showdown brings Bowen and the small claimers together to fight it out with the Kincaid men, in a battle where only one side can win.
