The Bistro at Holiday Bay plays host to the Holiday Bay High School class of 2004 as they gather to celebrate their twentieth reunion. While every class seems to have its story to tell, this particular class is most famous for the murder of one of its most popular students shortly before graduation. The case was never solved, and the killer was never caught, but there is more than one alumnus who feels certain that the secret to finally bringing this cold case full circle is to take a hard look at a group of students who, on the surface, seem the least likely to have been involved in any sort of crime let alone murder.

Meanwhile, Shelby is trying very hard not to commit her own act of violence when the reunion coordinator turns out to be ten times worse than the worse bridezilla she's ever worked with. It seems that no matter how hard Shelby and her staff try to please this woman there seems to be no way to please her.

Homecoming weekend, a mummy with a mission, Halloween and all the associated festivities, and the new romance everyone has been waiting for.

With Halloween just around the corner, the gang at the bistro decide to go all out with the food, decorations, and special events. When one of their regular customers ends up dead, Shelby enlists Dawson and Beck's help in an effort to determine if the man's untimely death was accident or murder. While the question might be simple the answer will turn out to be anything but.

A new romance, a murder, an ex-con, a PI, and a whole lot of dogs.

Alex and Leo are finally able to break ground on the dog rescue they've been working on for impossible to place dogs who have been at the shelter for an extended period or who find themselves on death row for one reason or another. The altruistic couple hire a man who is both a contractor and an ex-con to oversee the construction of the pens and buildings. There are those who aren’t happy with Leo’s choice and are campaigning to have him removed, but the man is doing a good job and Leo is a strong believer in second chances, so he keeps him on in spite of those who'd like to see him gone. When a Holiday Bay resident is found dead, Leo’s ex-con is blamed, and it is up to Leo and Alex to prove his innocence.

Meanwhile, Shelby and Dawson are working to redefine both their work and personal relationship, Amy is thinking of making a change, and Beck has an interesting new case that will keep everyone guessing.
