(2022)
A novel by

A hairstylist from the suburbs gets a shop closer to the hood. It’s the ratchet stop shop, where Ky’Aria has all the tea, due to her loose-lipped clients, but she refrains from telling her own business— that is until she gets involved with a man who owns the streets, a man whose reputation precedes itself.

Everybody knows the name KD and wants his attention. It brings a whirlwind of drama, but when you meet a real one, is there a need for questioning if he is worth the added drama to her life? KD owns the city; who doesn’t know him? Who doesn’t want to be attached to his name? He doesn’t trust most and knows better than to let a woman who wants him for the wrong reasons get close.

Yet, when he meets
her, it’s different.

KY is different. Her vibe captures his soul. He can’t help but be her everything, but being her everything has more challenges than intended, and he’s not sure if she’s worth all of the turmoil that comes along with her.

This is a story about two people who find their soulmates and go through the obstacles to find out if that title is all it's hyped up to be. Love is a journey, love is a choice, and love is accountability. Ky’Aria believes everything happens for a reason, and maybe everything that’s happened in her life has set her up for the man she never knew she needed, and in order for his promises to have meaning, he had to go through his own set of life mishaps. This love just may be the gift of life that they’ve craved to see beyond the losses.
