Satire, the New Age and hard-boiled detective mysteries collide in "Sandy Bottom." Just back in Traverse City, Michigan from three years of tending bar in Guatemala, part-time shaman and aspiring detective Natty Dredd Bumpo is plunged head-first into solving the murder of filthy-rich eco-warrior Timothy Bottom. But Dredd has a big problem with the case: Timothy’s widow is Dredd’s lost-love, Sandy, who jilted him to marry the wealthy heir. Meanwhile, dark forces stalk Traverse City, America's sweetheart destination for tech-crazed millennials and wealthy retirees. A gobbling gator, a roving militia and a Russian connection add to the mayhem as Dredd works to track down the killer. Sometimes the cosmic pancake falls sweet side up and sometimes it's syrup-side down. Which way will it flip for Traverse City's grungiest detective and femme fatale Sandy Bottom?
