Household Level: Sovereign
(2026)(The fourth book in the Briarlock Household series)
A novel by Saeri Doan
Seventeen organizations want Briarlock’s help.
The System thinks this means Harlan Rusk should become king.
Harlan disagrees.
Aggressively.
Briarlock has grown from one broken magical house into a web of clinics, workshops, routes, emergency services, independent operators, and people who cooperate because cooperation is useful—not because anyone agreed to kneel.
But success creates a problem no amount of sarcasm can hide.
Insurers want one responsible operator. The Crown wants one accountable authority. Outside organizations want shared emergency support without surrendering independence. Merrick Sorn can make centralized power cheaper, faster, cleaner, and dangerously reasonable.
Then the Household System offers Harlan exactly what every complicated network is being pressured to create:
SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY.
For once, the tempting option is not obviously evil.
It works.
That is what makes it dangerous.
Harlan now has to prove that a powerful LitRPG household progression system can survive without turning one competent man into the permanent owner of everybody else’s risk. Around him are six women he loves in six different ways, each with a separate career, schedule, home, authority, and refusal that has to remain meaningful even when centralization would make everything easier.
There will be crowns.
There will be contracts.
There will be emergency powers.
There will be soup classified as tribute.
And if Harlan gets this wrong, the House may become more efficient than ever.
It just might stop being theirs.
Household Level: Sovereign is the climactic cozy humorous LitRPG harem romantasy of the Briarlock Household series, combining magical-house progression, adult multi-partner romance, found-family warmth, competence fantasy, dry humor, political and economic pressure, a deeply opinionated System, and a hero whose final power-up may be learning which power he has to give away.
Rule the House.
Keep the heart.
Lose the crown.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
