The Happiness of Bluebirds
(2026)(A book in the two sparrows for a penny series)
An omnibus of novels by Sara Davison
A single moment can change everything.
The men and women in these stories were doing just fine. Well, maybe they weren’t exactly fine, but they were muddling their way through.
Then, in an instant, an unexpected loss, a split-second choice gone wrong, a reckless decision, a raging blizzard, a heartrending betrayal, or an eye-opening weekend sends them spiralling along a path they never would have chosen for themselves.
They’d believed that God was with them. That he saw them and loved them and wanted only the best for them. Clearly, they were wrong.
Or maybe they’re about to find out that he has a plan for them that’s better than anything they could have imagined for themselves.
The Happiness of Bluebirds will take story lovers on a journey through six adventures filled with family drama, humour, faith, a little romance, and a whole lot of hope.
Thoughts from reviewers on the stories in this collection ...
Star Light: "What an amazing story!! ... This story gives you hope and love!" "Wowed me ... ! Such a tender story of a woman opening her heart for healing."
Scarlet: "This was a lovely little backstory. It makes me want to go and read Cole’s story all over again."
A Single Spark of Light: "This story touched my heart .... This will be my Christmas Eve read to be still and know that He is God." "A beautiful story of redemption and surrendering to God."
The Other Way: "A modern take on Jonah ... that ended much better. There were some mystery elements included and a solid theme of forgiveness. Even though this was a short story, there was a full story line here and one that packed a punch. I absolutely adored this story and the characters. I gave this one 5+ stars."
Five Things You Know About Me: "Such a rollercoaster of emotions in such a short amount of time. There were moments that my heart was swooning and other times I may or may not have teared up, especially during the final chapter. There was one scene in particular that was truly touching, and I know will stick with me for a long time. I wish I could gush about it further but I’d rather you experience it for yourself than spoil it."
The Weekend: "I’d been hoping to see more of Lennon for a while. He was an intriguing side character who needed his own story. It was great to peel back the curtain and get a glimpse into the man he is."
*** These stories have previously appeared in various anthologies put out by The Mosaic Collection. They have now been gathered into one collection of stories all connected to Sara Davison’s two sparrows for a penny series, although they can be read on their own. Should you wish to get the full two sparrows for a penny experience by reading all the books and stories, a suggested order of reading list is included in the front of this book.
