Felix Thatch, recruiting agent of Womby’s School for Wayward Witches, just wants to get his library books at the magical school library—and for once not fight with the librarian about how many books he’s allowed to check out. The librarian’s new assistant, a ‘supernatural’ blonde bombshell, makes this even more difficult for him to find the books he needs to cure his sister’s curse.

When the headmistress asks Felix to fill in for a teacher who died under mysterious circumstances, he is enticed with the promise that he can check out as many books as he needs from the library—and Felix needs a lot. He needs books on the subject matter he’s teaching, the research materials to find a cure to his sister’s curse, and personal reading.

Unfortunately, Felix has little time for reading when he realizes the teacher he is filling in for was murdered. To make matters worse, the murder is a Red affinity like Felix, someone who uses forbidden magic. There are few out there capable of using this kind of magic.

Initially, clues suggest the blonde library assistant, but Felix suspects there is more here than meets the eye.
Unfortunately, sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong is dangerous business.

Can Felix solve the mystery of this death before he is blamed for someone else’s crime?
