Can a merman get away with impersonating a knight in order to bring justice to those in need?

The kingdom of Valdor is on the verge of collapse.

The Forest Knight who upheld justice and fought against tyranny, has been missing for nearly twenty years. With each day that passes, the cruelty of Valdorian masters grows worse for the Osea merfolk and Dartanian forest people captured as slaves. The queen is on the verge of dying of a broken heart over the loss of her lover and child who were stolen by enemies from the neighboring kingdom. Hope for Valdor is bleaker than ever.

During this time of unrest, the fairies whisper that hope has returned to the kingdom and a true hero will save them all. . . .

Doone is a young man born into servitude who embarks on a journey to the capital with his master, a knight who is both a brute and an oaf. Despite Doone’s lowly station as an Osea merman, he dreams of becoming a knight, but it is forbidden for his caste to hold such a position. When Doone finds the famous Forest Knight dead, he is told by a fairy to impersonate the Forest Knight in order to bring aid to those in need. By doing so, Doone has the opportunity to restore justice in a town where Dartanian forest folk are treated with cruelty, return a stolen princess to her rightful place with the queen, and help restore the peace of the kingdom.

If Doone is caught impersonating a knight, it means certain death.

Is the outcome worth the risk?

Step into a fantasy world that brings us back to the comfort of childhood fairytales with heroes who get by with a little bit of magic and a whole lot of wit.
