PI John Kite is shocked by the callous, inexplicable killing of an old colleague but is convinced it was the prelude to a far greater crime. Evidence from New York, LA, and London takes Kite half way across the world where he teams up with the free-wheeling Hudson, an ex-FBI agent. They track a pair of glamorous, suave fraudsters who seek to extort a billion dollars from dangerous, international 'bad actors' with a scam which will undermine the balance of power and global security. Kite and Hudson are alarmed when they discover it is them, alone and unarmed, who must use ‘extreme prejudice'' to avert the threat to world peace.
