In 1879, Leadville, Colorado, was a raw, ruthless city where 40,000 adventurers gathered to make a quick fortune. The mines were producing a ton of solid silver a day, 105 faro banks were in operation, and killings averaged one per night.A cowboy, registered at the hotel as John Collier but wearing a belt buckle marked “W,” is found beaten and suffering from amnesia. No one knows why he is in Leadville, but repeated attempts on his life make it clear that someone wants Collier dead before he recovers his memory.
