Secrets Beneath the Teacups
(2025)(A book in the Rebecca Hartwell Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by Dee Dee Edwards
Her fictional mysteries never prepared her for falling in love with the first suspect.
Tea, scones, and…murder.
When Claire Middleton inherits Camellia House, Pineberry Cove’s cherished tea shop, she dreams of reopening it in honor of her aunt’s legacy.
But the celebration curdles when notorious food critic Maxine Brandt—feared for her ruthless reviews—is found dead.
Rebecca Hartwell, beloved teacher and bestselling cozy mystery author, never expected her fictional puzzles to turn real.
With her loyal Blue Heeler, Gatsby at her side, she dives headfirst into the case.
But her heart falters when Logan Reed—the steady, good-humored restorer she can’t stop noticing—is branded the first suspect.
Quirky suspects abound: Jasper, a Shakespeare-quoting beekeeper with honey to hide, Mrs. Dawn, a pun-spinning crossword maven, and even Claire, whose secrets may be more than sugar and spice.
Yet grudges and false leads mask something far more dangerous: a rival in disguise.
If Rebecca can’t crack the case, Pineberry Cove’s warmest gathering place may be shattered forever—along with her chance at love and trust.
Genre: Mystery
